The Board of Directors is accountable to the membership for ensuring that the Mission and Purpose of the YWCA is being furthered through responsible leadership and management, effective planning and evaluation, and sound fiscal management. The role of the Board of Directors is to govern the Association in accordance with the bylaws and applicable law; it establishes the organization's direction and monitors its performance. The Board of Directors also has a cause advocacy role for the achievement of the YWCA mission.
