Our staff and volunteers are committed to social change and work to build a healthy community by building strength and capacity in women. Our goal is a society where there is no longer a gender-gap, and the cycles of domestic violence, homelessness and poverty have been eradicated. Our core areas of focus are: Domestic Violence Prevention, Homelessness & Poverty Reduction, Child & Family Intervention and Community Health & Wellness.

To offer programs and services to women and their families, providing them with the skills and opportunities to contribute to and benefit from healthy communities.

Grounded in a commitment to a holistic approach, the YWCA will deliver services that address the Body, Mind and Spirit. Innovative programs and services will help women meet basic needs and provide opportunities for women and families to develop capacity to meet their own needs.

Working with other community organizations and governments, the YWCA will be the resource of choice for women and families in Calgary.

The YWCA will be a self-sustaining organization viewed by the community as having contributed significantly to creating a healthy community, one which is peaceful, just, equitable, inclusive and sustainable.
