YWCA of Calgary
How to Help
Overview

The YWCA of Calgary is a charitable organization that relies on the generous support of donors, funders and volunteers to continue our critical work in the areas of domestic violence, homelessness and poverty.

In addition to intervention and outreach counseling, we operate several housing facilities for women and children in crisis and transition. The YWCA Sheriff King Home is a 38-bed emergency shelter for women and their children fleeing domestic violence. The YWCA Mary Dover House is an 90-bed housing facility for women and children in crisis or transition. The YWCA Safe Haven is a 7-bed housing suite for young girls, aged 14 - 19, at risk of sexual exploitation or homelessness.
