Global Television, in partnership with the YWCA of Calgary, is proud to celebrate and recognize the accomplishments of outstanding Calgary women from all walks of life who have realized their passion and whose personal dedication and actions inspire others.

Each month, Global Television Anchor, Linda Olsen, shares the stories of amazing women in our community the first Monday of every month during Global News. In addition, each woman's story runs that same month in the Calgary Herald.

Annual Awards Luncheon – A Celebration of Spirit
A highlight of this program is the annual Awards Luncheon held in March to coincide with International Women's Day. On that day, the Woman of Vision recipients featured over the past 12 months are formally recognized and invited to share their stories with a consistently sold out crowd of 700 people. Each woman receives a specially commissioned award.

Young women from various organizations are invited to the Awards Luncheon to hear firsthand the inspirational stories of the recipients. This unique experience exposes them to exceptional women in the community and encourages them to look beyond their own life experiences.
