TRANSITIONAL & CRISIS HOUSING
The YWCA Mary Dover House provides safe and affordable housing to women and children in crisis or transition. We offer a variety of specialized social programs to meet the needs of our clients, including on-site counselling, agency referrals, and advocacy work. Clients are provided with affordable housing, VON nurse services, emergency transportation and access to a community kitchen, common lounge areas and kitchenettes, as well as the YWCA Fitness on Fifth facility. All women are required to meet with their assigned counselor on a regular basis and supported as they work on goals which enable them to achieve greater self-sufficiency.

EMERGENCY HOUSING
Due to Calgary's housing crisis, Emergency Housing is offered to women and single mothers with children who may otherwise be on the street. The YWCA Mary Dover House is also used as a housing overflow service for area shelters, including the YWCA Sheriff King Home. There are six emergency beds available for single women where the maximum stay is for fourteen days and there is no cost to the participants.
